Dublin Events
Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026.
This policy covers the Dublin Events app for iPhone, which lists what's on in Dublin. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the developer of Dublin Events.
Privacy contact: support@mydrivingtest.net.
Summary
- No account is needed. The app does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your location, saved events and calendar stay on your device. We never receive them.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, with advertising features turned off.
- Apple processes payments and we use RevenueCat to record purchases. We never see your card details.
- The app shows no ads. We do not sell personal data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data on your device
Saved events, the number of free event details you have opened, and a cached copy of the event list and event images are stored on your device. Removing the app deletes this data, subject to your device backups.
Location. If you allow it, the app uses your location while it is open to sort events by distance and show what is near you. This happens on your device; your location is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Calendar. When you tap "Add to calendar", the app asks for calendar access and adds that event to your calendar. The app does not read, copy or upload your calendar.
Notifications. The app may ask permission to show notifications. We do not send push messages from a server, and your device's notification token is not sent to us.
Event list and images
The app downloads the event list from GitHub Pages and loads event images from the websites that publish the events. Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and basic device information. Links such as "Open the original listing" or ticket links open the organiser's or seller's website, which has its own privacy policy.
Analytics (Google Firebase)
The app uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google. It receives an app instance identifier, device model and operating system, app version, language, general location (city, region and country) derived from your IP address, and events about how the app is used.
Events include app opens, sessions and screen views; viewing the premium screen and where it was opened; whether subscription plans could be loaded; and starting, completing, cancelling or restoring a purchase, with the plan. Events do not include your location, your saved events or your calendar.
Advertising ID collection, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are turned off, and the app does not ask to track you. Firebase processes this data on Google servers, which may be outside the European Economic Area. See Firebase privacy information and Google's privacy policy.
Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Dublin Events Premium is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription through the App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. The app checks your purchases with Apple to unlock Premium and to restore it on a new device.
The app also sends your App Store purchase records to RevenueCat so we can see subscription sales and renewals. RevenueCat assigns a random customer identifier that does not contain your name. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers named above (Google Firebase, Apple and RevenueCat) so they can provide their services to us, or when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Retention and security
Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months, the longest period Google Analytics allows for this data. Purchase records are kept while needed for accounting and to restore purchases. Support emails are deleted within 12 months after the request is handled. Data sent to these services is encrypted in transit (TLS).
Your choices and rights
You can turn off location, calendar and notification access at any time in iOS Settings. You can contact us at support@mydrivingtest.net with privacy questions or to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about you. Because the app has no account, we usually cannot link analytics records to a person; for purchases, an Apple order ID helps us find the record. You can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data use changes, and change the date above.
