Life in the UK Test: Revision
Privacy notice
Last updated 18 October 2026. This notice covers the Life in the UK Test: Revision app for iPhone and iPad, published by Varol Aksoy. Contact: [email protected].
Summary
- No account is needed. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number in the app.
- Your study progress stays on your device.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, with advertising features turned off.
- We use RevenueCat to check purchases. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details.
- We do not sell personal data and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data on your device
Your answers, results, saved mistakes, settings and study reminder time are stored on your device so the app can show progress. Study reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications; we do not send push messages from a server. Removing the app deletes this data, subject to your device backups.
Analytics (Google Firebase)
The app uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google. It receives an app instance identifier, device model and operating system, language, general location derived from your IP address, and events about how the app is used. Events include app opens, onboarding, starting and finishing practice and mock exams, viewing the premium screen, and starting, completing or restoring a purchase, with the product name. Events do not include the text of your answers.
Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are disabled. Analytics event-level data is kept for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; the user-level period restarts when new activity arrives. See Firebase privacy information.
Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Apple processes payments. The app uses RevenueCat to confirm which plan you have bought and to restore it. RevenueCat assigns a random customer identifier and stores your purchase history with it. This identifier does not contain your name, but it can connect your purchase records. To measure purchases alongside app activity, the app shares the Firebase app instance identifier with RevenueCat.
When available, the app also requests Apple's AdServices attribution token through RevenueCat. RevenueCat sends it to Apple to learn whether the install came from an Apple Ads campaign. This is Apple's own attribution and is not used to track you across other companies' apps. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
If you email us, or send a question report from the app through your mail app, we use your email address and message only to reply and fix the issue.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off study reminders in the app or in iOS Settings. You can ask us to access or delete data we can link to you by emailing [email protected]. Because the app has no account, we may not be able to find analytics or purchase records from an email address alone; an Apple receipt or order ID helps us locate a purchase. UK users can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
The app is a study tool for adults preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not directed at children.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data use changes, and change the date above.
